SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Corpus Christi Hooks win 6-2 Wednesday night in San Antonio. Three Hooks pitchers combine to allow only three hits on the night, with starter Henry Villar improving his record to 3-5 with the win (5.2IP, 2H, 1ER, 3K).

The Corpus Christi Hooks took game 2 of the series against the Missions with a 6-2 victory at the Wolff.
Missions starter Simon Castro picked up his fifth loss of the season tossing five innings allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Simon cruised through the first three innings before being touched up for his two runs in the fourth inning with a home run from Hooks third baseman Kody Kirkland.
The Missions scored the games first run with a lead off triple in the 3rd inning off the bat of Missions left fielder Blake Tekotte. Tekotte scored on Andy Parrino’s double. The Missions only other hit of the night was a solo home run off the bat of Mitch Canham in the seventh inning that cut the Hooks lead to 3-2
The Hooks answered in the 8th in the ninth when they added three more runs to give them the 6-2 victory.
The two teams hook up tomorrow for the rubber game of the three game set. The Missions will send former Hooks pitcher Tyler Lumsden to the mound to face his replacement in Corpus Dallas Kuehel.
